This is my maiden voyage into the blogging waters. My plan is to share with you the things that go on in the ministry of Franciscan Peacemakers.
Franciscan Peacemakers Street Ministry is an outreach to women, men and children who engage in prostitution on the streets of Milwaukee. We are a Catholic deacon and a Catholic social worker driving in neighborhood on the streets of Milwaukee where prostitution happens. As this blog develops, I hope to share with you stories about the people we minister to. My colleague Carmen and myself do this work as a way of living out our Gospel call, to feed the hungry, clothe the naked and give a drink to the thirsty. We try to do this by following in the footsteps of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi.
